The Builders Development Group was proud to help support Gov. Strickland for his work in helping to bring jobs back to Ohio with his Third Frontier Grant Program, supporting such companies as Webcore, a composite developer for “Green Technology” components for wind turbines. BDG CEO Mark Herres, and Green Technology Advisor Chris Meyer of DDC were invited to attend the GACCOM’s Annual Renewables & Energy Efficiency Roadshow in Columbus, Ohio on 9/1/2009. This event was one of only three stops this roadshow made in the U.S. The keynote speakers for this momentous gathering were Klaus Scharioth, German Ambassador to the United States of America, and Mark Shanahan, Executive Director of Ohio Air Quality Development and Energy Advisor to Governor Ted Strickland along with others. Mr. Shanahan is currently reviewing a project BDG is working on at the Dayton International Airport. BDG is working to assist in the transatlantic climate bridge which will deliver innovative solutions and networks to tackle the problem of global climate change. BDG presented its plan for German companies to relocate or establish new ventures in Ohioto Mr. Scharioth. BDG CEO Mark Herres and Chief Advisor John Hogan are traveling to Germany in October 2009 to promote Ohio and foster U.S – German business relations.
Builders Development Group Hosted an Ohio State Energy Summit at the UPS Air Distribution hub located at the Dayton International Airport. Builders Development Group (BDG) is a leader in bridging the gap in economic development for Ohio. Our vision has brought innovative ideas which can be implemented in new ways; communicating with state, local, and city officials as a testament to our mission of solving the problems all Ohioans face in today’s economic situation. BDG looks forward to restructuring the UPS hub site with renewable energy sources and bringing much needed jobs back to the birthplace of aviation.

Mr. Mark Herres, CEO of BDG was invited to attend the State of the State Address by State Representatives and hosted by Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland at Representative’s Hall at the Statehouse in Columbus. The initiative is to be on the cutting edge of how Ohioans move forward in this time of economic downturn and to help be a part of the solution for Ohio’s future growth.
